The Parish of St Peter's Stonyhurst & St Joseph's Hurst Green

Welcome from Fr Tim Curtis SJ, Parish Priest. Telephone (01254) 826268 E:stpeterschurchstonyhurst@btinternet.com

A very warm welcome to the Parish of St Peter’s Stonyhurst here in the lovely Ribble Valley, served by the Jesuits of the British Province www.jesuit.org.uk. We are a small but active Parish, and share the Church with the students and staff of Stonyhurst and the prep school St Mary’s Hall. A Jesuit parish, a Jesuit college, and a Jesuit Primary school all contributing to the Catholic heritage of this part of Lancashire.
Please make yourself known to me at any of the services and we would welcome your involvement in our Mission to spread the Gospel.

The Parish is in the diocese of Salford in the deanery of St John Southworth.

Our mission in St Peter’s Parish, Stonyhurst is:

  • to deepen our faith in our relationship to God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit through the celebration of the liturgy and prayer
  • to warmly welcome those seeking to find God in their lives and to share our lives with them
  • to go out into our communities so as  to share our faith with others and communicate it especially by our care for those in any kind of need
  • to acknowledge and use the Jesuit charism with which we have been gifted.
